Two years of searching and two months of preparation
"Two years of searching and two months of preparation, then training in Korea and the opening" - this is how Oksana describes the road from an idea to a working studio. She was looking for the source of the Korean technique rather than a retelling, and found it in Seoul: MASSTIGE HAIR Academy and its teacher Hong Jihoon. She brings the solutions and equipment for her studio directly from Korea - the same ones she trained on.
Two rounds of training in Seoul
March 2026: a seminar on restorative Korean digital perm with Beati solutions, in one group with Korean hairdressers. The result is certificate No. 344. August 2026: one-to-one training with Hong Jihoon. In those days the digital perm was fine-tuned for Slavic hair, and they went through root volume, cold perm and six winding methods.
What happened between the trips
After March, Oksana began doing the procedure in her Moscow studio. There was a wave, but not the one she had seen at the academy. The clue came from a Korean client: on her hair the same technique and the same solutions gave a result exactly like in Seoul. It became clear that there was no need to look for another method; this one had to be tuned for a different hair type. She took that question back to Seoul in August.
The studio in Moscow
Versiya Lab is a Korean perm studio in Moscow. The procedure costs 18,000-39,000 ₽ depending on length, 30,000 ₽ on average. Oksana does a test strand for every new client and says no if the hair will not withstand the procedure: she brought this rule from Korea unchanged. What the client gets is a soft wave after washing; curls are styled over the wave with a styler and hold for 3-5 days. Reviews from studio clients are public on Yandex Maps and Avito. Her part of the masterclass
On 25 November Oksana teaches the adaptation block: what she changed in her work after Seoul and why, what to look at when diagnosing Slavic hair and reading a test strand, and when the procedure should be declined. After the course she is the one who runs the practice on your own model, in the studio or online, and reviews your work for a month.
